Credentials

CREDENTIALS

Ordained Minister – This is the most authoritative rank of the ministry. Officers on the District or National level are required to be ordained.

Licensed Minister – The mid-level preaching credential is the Licensed Minister. Ministers must hold this position for a minimum of one year before seeking ordination.

Evangelist – This is the beginning level for preaching credentials.

Christian Lay Minister – Either lay ministers or novice preaching ministers may apply to be a Christian Lay Minister. Often, a Christian Lay Minister will confine his or her ministry to the ministry of their own local church, hospital, rest home, or prison ministry.
